Never has the idea of pitching tents and bonding over bonfires with only bare essentials on hand been more popular than today.
And for a good reason: many of today’s urbanites understand the need to disconnect and to find a temporary respite from one’s daily stressful grind. While modern technology has offered utmost ease and convenience, it has however created a somewhat more competitive environment that could easily drain individuals.
Thus being afforded the alternative to just pack one’s bag and leave all cares behind has become truly enticing. And the best way to do it? Go off the grid for a while or find ways to get in touch with nature—say, go camping once in a while.
Modern camping
What’s great nowadays is the fact that the traditional camping has since evolved to allow more individuals to experience what it’s like to be one with nature. This time, from simply roughing it in the wilderness, a new form of camping was formed—the so-called “glamping.”
Glamping is the new and glamorized form of camping. It is, according to glamping.com, a “fusion of glamour and camping, where individuals are provided ways to authentically experience the most awe-inspiring locales around the world.”
Simply put, glamping is a style of camping where stunning nature meets modern luxury, and where amenities and even resort-style services are provided to campers.
A taste of paradise
One developer meanwhile has decided to bring this experience to possible future homeowners. Trusted realty brand Sta. Lucia Land Inc., through its latest development Las Colinas in Davao, will host sellers, partners and investors in a glamping affair that will allow them to get a taste of what life would be like in this future paradise sanctuary.
“The glamping event is for the sales partners to be linked to interested buyers and investors. This is also to allow them to experience the Las Colinas charm—cool breeze and magnificent views, the Tagaytay of Davao experience,” said Sta. Lucia Ventures Inc. CEO and EVP Liezel Tuason-Magpoc.
“The activity is a glimpse for buyers of their possible second home or vacation home in Davao City. It is a special sales activity that may be repeated depending on the reception of the interested buyers. There are other upcoming family activities like kite-flying, horseback riding, weekend market and music festival—all of which are sales activities like an open house,” she added.
According to Tuason-Magpoc, this will be the first glamping event for Las Colinas that aims to introduce to the public the future lifestyle homeowners will get to experience and enjoy.
During the event there will be barbecue, bonfire and acoustic band. There will be 10 big tents that can accommodate 10 persons, and 10 other tents that can accommodate 4 persons. All invited guests are encouraged to bring and pitch their own tents.
Prime property
Las Colinas will soon showcase an environment where homeowners can stake a claim on estate-sized lots ranging from 500 sqm to 1,200 sqm. Its proximity to Bato River and a 44,000 sqm lake area further increase the allure of the location—a delightful and deeply refreshing prime property unique to Las Colinas.
The major highlight of living in Las Colinas is its proximity to Eden Nature Park—a mountain resort 3,000 feet above sea level with an imposing view of Davao City and the Davao Gulf.
Touted as one of Davao’s most prime lake developments, Las Colinas guarantees privacy, security and that much sought Eden bliss. Its landscaped entry, 24/7 security, wide and paved concrete road network and other carefully thought-out details and features assure a peaceful, secluded and private day-to-day life.
Las Colinas likewise has much to offer when the changing of seasons pushes you back indoors. Enjoy the amenities of a well-equipped community clubhouse; get your fitness game on by taking laps in the swimming pool; work up a good sweat at the basketball court; or simply make friends through other facilities designed to get you connected to your community.
