Pioneering world-class golf communities in the Philippines

Sta. Lucia Land Inc. (SLLI) reinforces its legacy as a pioneer in Philippine golf tourism, developing championship courses and fostering grassroots programs to elevate the sport.

“We believe that our move to create and develop world-class golf communities allowed us to strengthen our presence in the market. Key developments include The Orchard Golf & Country Club (Cavite), two 18-hole courses by Arnold Palmer and Gary Player, host of the 1995 Johnnie Walker Classic; Eagle Ridge Golf & Country Club (Cavite), with four championship layouts by Isao Aoki, Nick Faldo, Andy Dye, and Greg Norman; and South Pacific Golf Club (Mindanao), an 18-hole, Palmer-designed course spanning 70 hectares.

“We have made it our mission to develop golf courses that will continue to challenge and excite golfers for both beginners and veterans. I am proud to say that up until now, our developments remain to be a top choice for golfers and a preferred venue for tournaments. We want to continuously promote golf in the country and find ways to strengthen our presence in the global scene,” Robles added.

SLLI also launched

Teens Tour by Sta. Lucia, a partnership with GolfMix, Inc. to organize youth tournaments. Chairman Vicente R. Santos emphasized the significance of grassroots growth. “I have made it my mission to conduct tournaments and golf training among club member’s dependents, club employees, and caddies with the help of the different Board of Directors and General Managers of our various golf clubs. I believe such programs would help us further promote the growth of the game in the country,” Santos said.
