Run, La Alegria! Sta. Lucia’s fun run event in Silay City reveals La Alegria’s premium amenities

La Alegria Residential Estates, the premier lake residential community developed by Sta. Lucia Land Inc., hosted a successful fun run on February 2, 2025 that brought together over 400 participants in a celebration of fitness and scenic beauty.

The event, designed to promote wellness in Silay City while showcasing La Alegria’s breathtaking landscape, kicked off with an energizing Zumba warm-up session before runners took on the 5 km and 10 km race categories. Enthusiastic participants of all ages embraced the opportunity to experience the first lake community in Negros Occidental while engaging in a morning of healthy and fun competition.

At the conclusion of the race, runners who were the first to cross the finish line were awarded their well-deserved medals and corresponding cash prizes. Two finishers under the 10k category received P5,000 each, and two under the 5k each received P3,000.

Leading the awarding ceremony were Sta. Lucia Land Inc.’s president Exequiel Robles, Orchard Property Marketing Corporation’s executive vice president, Anton Tirona, Silay City Mayor, Hon. Joedith C. Gallego, and Silay City Councilor Ryan Gamboa.

Subsequently, the raffle sponsored by Sta. Lucia Land Inc. took place. Major prizes were up for grabs, including a 55-inch TCL 4K Smart TV, Samsung Galaxy Tab A9, and a microwave oven. Many minor prizes were also given to the lucky winners. These sponsored prizes added an extra layer of excitement to the event, rewarding lucky participants with special giveaways.

Adding to the success of the event, Sta. Lucia Land decided to temporarily open the gates of La Alegria to all runners who would like to experience the scenic landscape views of Lake Victoria and the dazzling sunrise as they ran.

Beyond the run itself, participants enjoyed access to La Alegria’s premium amenities, including the badminton and basketball courts, as well as the swimming pool, all free of charge for the day.

Lagan Alegria: Sta. Lucia Fun event was organized primarily by Sta. Lucia Land Inc.’s exclusive marketing arm, Orchard Property Marketing Corporation (OPMC), which is the main promotional and sales force for La Alegria Residential Estates.

Encouraged by the fun run’s success, Sta. Lucia expressed its interest in organizing more similar events in the future.

“La Alegria: Sta. Lucia Fun Run event [was] in the works for several months. We already did fun run events before and we saw how such events have a positive impact on the community and create opportunities for us to consider how we could engage and cater to a diverse…audience,” Robles shared.

He wrapped up his remarks by expressing gratitude to the event partners who helped make the fun run a triumph.

“Looking at the turnout, we are inspired to plan ahead with similar affairs as this. My special appreciation also to Mayor Joedith C. Gallego, Councilor Ryan Gamboa, Team 6116, Smart, PLDT and the local government of Silay City.
