According to the Department of Tourism, from January to December 2015, the Philippines generated earnings amounting to Php 227.62 billion from 5.36 million visitors. This amount is 5.92% higher than the previous earnings of Php 214.88 billion for the same period in 2014. Countries such as Korea, USA, Canada, Australia and Japan topped spending of these foreign tourist arrivals.
